Fossils
Nummulites lahiri, N. atacicus, Assilina leymerei, N. obtusus – however, these fossils are considered to be reworked for the outcrop at Rengging in the opinion of Ranga Rao (1983).
Age
An Early Miocene age is suggested for the Kimi Formation, as it is considered equivalent to the Chunabati Fm of the Darjeeling Himalaya (Acharyya et al., 1978)
